METHODOLOGY OF EXPERTISE
♦Methodology of toys and games expertise was created by experts of the Centre within Cultural-historical approach in Psychology and Education.
Under that approach, the main function of the toy is activation of age-specific child play.
In the prosess of expertise, every toy should pass an ethical filter. The toys, which contradict ethical age norms accepted in most cultures, should be prohibited.
Methodology of expertise itself bases on followitng statements.
1. The motivation of play activity connects to the attraction of the toy for the child.
2. Developemental potential of the toy is determined by it's matching specific play activity and variability of possible play actions with it, its openness to the child's imagination.
3. Operational characteristics of the toy provide the possibility of independent child play activity.
